>From time-to-time somebody is looking for chassis punches.
I received a set of "special deals" coupons via e-mail from Harbor Freight.
They have a set which you can see described at:
http://tinyurl.com/jfogo
The description is:
Forged, machined and heat treated high carbon steel construction. Includes:
1/2'', 3/4'', 1'' and 1-1/4'' dies; 7/8'', 1-3/32'', 1-11/32'', and
1-11/16'' hole punches, driving screws and blow mold carrying case.
Capacity: up to 10 gauge mild steel, aluminum, fiberglass and plastic;
Weight: 2.65 lbs.
The description is confusing to me but if you download the manual you'll see
that you are getting the ability to make FOUR different size holes.
The price is $12.99 (supposedly $29.99 regular priced) which seems to me to
be cheap to have available punches. Yes, they're not high quality tools and
they'll get dull pretty quickly. However how often do most of us use the
punches? Were I not leaving in the morning for a week I might drive the 30
or so miles each way to Harbor Freight to buy a set.
Coupon can be printed from here:

I have not seen/touched/or tried these punches. I have no connection with
the store. If you buy some, you might report back on their quality and how
they work.
