Guys, I just picked up a very nice AR-88 today and have a couple of
questions.
1. How do I plug it in? (How's that for basic?). Seriously. It has no power
cord. There
is no hole in the rear of the chassis for a power cord. (The rear of the
chassis looks a
whole lot different than the one pictured in the manual that came with the
set).
One one side, there's female power plug. Is that it? Underneath, there
is an octal
socket, which I believe is for the optional use of a battery pack.
On the other side, there is a recessed opening with two rounded prongs.
I don't know
of a power cord that would fit that.
Any ideas? Any work-arounds?
2. On one side, there appears to be an opening for a fuse. The cover was
gone. I got
a new cover. It fits pefectly and locks in place. When I insert a fuse,
however, I
cannot insert it far enough where the cover will lock in place. The manual I
have shows
no fuse for this set. What's up with that?
As always, thank you for your guidance and your patience.
