These "green" resistors are from a program to construct an energy
independent broadcast station in Al Gore's backyard. Needless to say it was
"shorted" from the start.
Happy fourth everyone..........Larry in Seattle

Subject: [Boatanchors] Green Resistors
Happy 4th to all,
Sorting through the pile of resistors in the junk box, I
came across a number of green molded ones. About the
same size as a 1 watt carbon comp. I broke open one
to see that the resistive element looks like a plastic
or glass tube about 1/8" in diameter, not wirewound.
Only markings are the usual 4 color bands.
They also haven't held on to their value very well, most
have drifted upwards well over 10%.
Anyone know the scoop on these, manufacturer etc?
Thanks
