You do NOT need a 12.5 watt resistor!  The 125 volts is not across the
resistor.  The resistor power rating is going to be the resistance times the
square of the maximum current it must pass.  In this case you have 50 X 0.1
X 0.1  which equals 1/2 watt.  Use a 1 watt to be on the safe side.

I recently came across a stack of NOS selemiums that I have found to work
well, though obviously less efficient than a silicon unit.
