I know that Dentron made one commercially but I am not sure of any other
commercial designs. As to homebrew, this is certainly doable either as a
mixer followed by a linear amplifier which may not be the best choice for
AM. Or you could do like the VHF Johnson 6 N 2 and just use the existing
rig as a power supply and source of modulated HV.
