In addition to the Drake units there are the Heath
DX-100 and DX-100B, HW-18-3; Hammarlund HX-50 and
HX-50A (with 160 meter kit installed); Johnson Viking
I and II, Valiant I and II, Ranger I and II, Navigator
(with external modulator); Globetrotter, all of the
Globe King models, all of the Globe Champion models,
Globe Scout 40, 40A, 65, 65A, 65B, Globe Chief 90 and
90A (with optional AM modulator); Hallicrafters HT-20;
Multi-Elmac AF-67; Swan 160-X; to name some common
"boat anchor" transmitters that cover 160 meters. All
but the Swan have AM.
I personally have a Heath DX-100, Hammarlund HX-50A,
Globe Chief 90A (with SM-90 modulator), Globe Champion
350A, and a Hallicrafters HT-20.

I have yet to run across a commercially made
boatanchor that operates 160, much less AM (we're not
counting Drake's AM,ok) what are folks using to
transmit down there?
