Mike,
I avoid the use of oil due to it's ability to gum up and collect dust.
After I have used DE-OX-IT on my contacts and cleaned off the old oil
residue, I use a Teflon "dry" lubricant on all my shafts etc.. The
current can I am using is sold as "Slick 50", however Teflon dry
lubricants are sold under many other names.
Please note that I do not spray my parts, I "dribble" it on the the
areas I want lubed. It also does an outstanding job on nylon type
gears like those found on a Drake TR7 PTO.
I also us it on the slide rails in my cabinets, makes sliding a DX100
out of of the case, well, slick!
CU in Marlboro on Febuary 17th!
