Jeff,
The noise from PCs is not only from the AC line but
also from the line between the monitor and PC.
I also had bad interference from my desk top PC and ferrites
on AC line did almost nothing.
However, I found touching the monitor's face or holding the line
with my hand had much effect to reduce the noise.
Putting round cable cores with cases (split type) did the trick.
But it needed a bunch of cores to get satisfied reduction.
Holding every point of the line to find the best point will be the
shortcut, while listening to the radio frequency with interference.
