[Boatanchors] Paralleling HV Transformers

  You can parallel two identical transformers, but they must be 
identical or they will not share the load equally.  Just make sure the 
secondaries are in phase before you parallel them or you will have a 
direct short!  (Just in case you did not know.)  A voltmeter will tell 
you this.  If they are not identical you will get a circulating current 
which will heat the secondary winding.  The only precaution in 
paralleling primaries is that it effects the secondary phase so be sure 
to mark them both when you have it set up correctly.
