Wow! All this talk about early TV and no mention of its true creator, Philo T. Farnsworth. Thanks to the underhanded and ruthless antics of Mr. Sarnoff, Farnsworth rarely gets the credit he is truely due. He was the inventor of electronic television as recognized by the US Patent Office. LOOK It Up! He actually came up with the concept of a scaning electron beam CRT when he was 15 years old while watching a farmer plow a field and noticing the rows.
Farnsworth lived and worked here in Fort Wayne in his later years at Capehart-Farnsworth and at ITT. He was working on such advanced things as fusion energy, etc. He was really a brilliant man who deserves better recognition by historical account.
