[Boatanchors] Viking Ranger Face Place Clean Up

The Viking Ranger I had purchased has a slight discoloration.  I am
assuming it is cigarette smoke.  I would like to clean up the face
plate, however, am concerned about messing up the paint while trying to
clean the face plate.

I am looking for suggestions on what to use to clean up the Viking
Ranger's face plate.
