Gang,

I have two Simpson model 240's and have made the same mistake with both!
This has happened many, many years apart.
I had measured line voltage and forgot to switch back for ohms! Oh woe is
me!
With a "phutt", out went the meter. Does anyone have a schematic of the
critter!
If so, would you please send me a copy. One of the precision resistances,
resistance wire wound up in a coil went up in smoke. If I knew the value,
maybe
I could approximate the precision value. At least it would be useful for all
other
purposes I think if not accurate on the ohms scale.
