Few inventions are like Athena "Sprung full-blown from Zeus's head"
Idea is built upon idea and the credit usually goes to the person with the
vision, perseverance and financing to create a viable commercial product.
Edison, Marconi and Bell are examples.

>>Probably so, as there are those that believe that Marconi only advanced
>>the application of radio (was the first to broadcast) while Tesla invented
>>radio. See article in "Nuts and Volts" Feb. 2007 article by Louis Frenzel
>>W5LEF. I don't have a firm opinion, in fact I've always wondered which
>>was invented first, the radio receiver or the radio transmitter. My guess
>>is the receiver although they could't listen to any radio transmission
>>(transmitters not invented yet) they probably listened to static and
>>noise.
