I flip a switch, I hear the hum,
Filaments light as B+ climbs.
A ghostly glow from dial lamp comes,
As Fischer pens a Halli rhyme.
A rising hiss from speaker's heard,
A practiced hand selects the mode.
No need for Morse, just spoken word,
The ARRL has blown Taps on code.
Select the band, then spot the freq.,
Fine tune for drift and trim for splatter.
A Halli saved, reborn from wreck,
With xtal on that QRM won't matter!
With mike in hand you key and call,
Your call is logged by Net Control.
The HHI Net welcomes one and all.
Enjoying vintage rig's our goal.
Join us Sunday with waves that glow,
And propagate the air with soul!
Through snow and ice and wind that blows,
To QSO with you's our goal!
Join us on Sunday February 4th for the Halligan's
Hallicrafters International Net. Be there and be special!
The pre-Net is at 12:45 PM EST, (1745 UTC) and Net proper at
1:15 PM EST, (1815 UTC)
The frequency is 14.293 MHz usb +/- for key clicks, mike
splatter and overdriven gators with Brontosaurous buttock
bandwidth that really do not matter! A 'notch' in time, and
the signal is still 5/9!
We hope to hear you tomorrow. So come early, stay late, and
let the glow grow!
