GM gentlemen,
Need help identifying a control box that was used with aircraft
"command" gear. This one has a tag that says Signal Corps U.S.
Army,
Radio Control Box BC 944 A. It's serial # is 5179 and was made by
Western Electric, NYC.
Black crinkle finish. Has two tuning dials-------one from 190-550kc
and the other is 3-6Mc along with the headset, cw/mcw and output
controls. The "third" position appears to be just a headset control
position only with mode selector and volume control.
I'm assuming here that the regular controls were for two ARC-5
receivers but what was connected to the other position.
I've not been able to find a reference to this particular control box.
Probably haven't looked hard enuf either.
Anyone have a clue?
Tnx es 73 de W4MIL
Chuck
