[Boatanchors] Tube question

Any 6146W with a code date of 1965 or later is the
same tube as the 6146B/8298A.  For the article on the
6146 family of tubes that was in Electric Radio a
while back (and has been reprinted in several other
publications) go to the K9STH website (URL is at the
end of this message) and then choose the actual K9STH
link.  The article is on this link.

Those 6146W tubes with a code date of before 1964 are
6146A/8298 equivalents.  Those made in 1964 can be
either variant (depends on the manufacturer).
