I hate to keep raining on Doc's ideas for a small AM transmitter but the
T-150 would not be my choice either. I had a couple of those and in my
opinion they are one of the worst transmitters ever on the market. The specs
look real nice and I wished I had one when I was young and looking at all
the ads. 6 or 7 years ago I acquired a couple of them. The power supply is
way too small to meet the specs. They had a hard time producing much power
even with new tubes. They liked to oscillate where they shouldn't and always
lacked drive if I remember right. Most parts were very cheap including the
cabinet and chassis. I was not impressed.
