[Boatanchors] Technical help - What are the requirements?

I think everyone missed the point. All Larry was asking the seller
was if the PTO was screwed up or not. Simple check against the
built in calibrator or with WWV would have been simple enough to
do. But apparently seller didn't know how that worked.

No where did he imply that it was a requirement to know where it
was, just simply wondering if was tracking or not. Makes BIG diff-
erence in price if has to be worked on or has been dinkered with.

Been on bands 50+ years, never been a concern as to where I was,
just in the band was all I cared, and that is all that is required.

I leave the frequency measuring contests to those that think that
is important. Don't take me wrong, rigs can get messed up and
get out of whack. Have worked on broadcasting and commercial two way for
over 35 years and there it is important. BUT fortunately
ham bands aren't channelized other than 60 meters. Just as
Hollingsworth said, "lighten up" and use the big knob if you have
problems, but stay in the band.
