I've got one of those old Abbott rigs, too! Power supply and all. Has
a converted candlestick phone as a mic, with a mouthpiece that falls
out of the number holder regularly. Also have a Li'l Lulu 6m
transmitter and a few other old trinkets that would be fun to test.
Carl, the problem children seem to be mainly on HF, which is where
they like to mess with anyone using AM. They've tried to bother the
mil guys on weekends with no success beyond knowing someone was trying
to cause problems. Like the rest of the world, amateur radio has a few
of the mentally-stunted as well. Still, it's good to 'have it when you
need it'.
