Same issues for me here, Carl. I know the military net runs early to
avoid the SSB lids who like to intefere, but no idea why VHF stuff
can't be a bit later, or even during evening hours. I bet more would
join in. I've listened in on the old military radios net maybe twice,
when I had to be up at 5AM for some foolish reason.

Same station here as you run. Picked up a nice Interceptor B at
Hosstraders a couple years back that needs to be gone through, but the
original Interceptor is perking along nicely. WA2PJP told me recently
that he's been making a lot of 6M yAyeM contacts with his Clegg twins
from L.I., bet you could hear him FB.

Perhaps some of us late risers need to come up with an alternative
time to get on the air?
