Among many people who have let their membership lapse, this
is a common complaint. I do not view QST as a valuable
resource for my operation and have not for many years.

The focus of the magazine seems to have switched from
technical to advertising. I say this as a long time member
of ARRL. I believe the switch is the result of current
management and decisions they have made. In addition, they
have focused on specific groups as evidenced by their recent
FCC filings.

I believe that if they wish to recruit more members, they
should spend some of their money on a membership drive and
be more cognizant of the membership wishes rather than
attempt to jam a particular principal down the membership's
throat. I mention this because of the controversy over the
bandwidth proposal that they won't let die.
