Ho ho, Ray,

So, basically, we have a problem with unstated and unspecified 
expectations and meanings of words. Your words that you have 
reported do not have any American Standard meaning, not any 
particular meaning on this list. The eBay lister, on the other hand, 
used quite unequivocal language that is quite clear to me anyway, 
and to probably anyone on this list. So, you are relying on using 
your private meaning to beat another person over the head.

Why not look on this as a learning exercise, gained at little cost 
though a lot of anger.

It appears that, before bidding, you did not ask:
* what the electrical condition was;
* what the operating condition was; or
* whether there was a manual in the deal.

And yet you expected all these things to be OK. And all for $40?
Where have you been, Rip van Winkle? For Dr Gray fans, you 
da man dat probly akshully been on Mars. Time to wake up, wise 
up, come back to Earth and lick your wounds in private.
