My suggestions would be if you have the space, to keep the towers away from your house as
far as possible. Two reasons: If it falls you don't want to risk damage to people and structure
and, to reduce the sound of wind whistling through the tower/antenna at night. The noise can
adversely impact sleep :-(
You didn't say what types of towers you were considering. I was on site once when the owner
was taking one of the tubular crank-up/fold-over styles down. He forgot to install a safety pin
and faster than you could blink, the mast twirled down severely smashing the wall of his home
and destroying his expensive HF beam. We were very fortunate to not be standing in the
wrong place!
