   Hi Gang:
Just the perfect thing for bringing up the voltage on older equipment
   so as to
"reform" the filter caps. I really don't need this item as I have
   three other similar
pieces of equipment. This one is a "Powerstat" 0-120 Volt 10 Amp
autotransformer made by the Superior Electric company of Bristol CT.
It has an on-off switch as well as a three-conductor grounded plug
   which indicates
that it is a later production model. My guess is that it is from the
   1960s.
Just as an aside, the term "Variac" which has come to be used as a
   generic
term (like Kleenex or Band-Aid) for all autotransformers is in fact a
   trade-mark
   of The General Radio Company.
I am asking $35.00 for this useful item plus $8.10 for shipping by
   Priority Mail
in a flat rate box. This is a wonderful bargain because it is quite
   heavy and would
cost a lot more if it want by weight. Insurance would be $1.35
   additional.
If interested please reply by e-mail.

   Michael, W1RC
