Hi Ron,
    I just got the last 30 min. worth of msgs, I agree with Pete, there's
nothing wrong with your meter, your shunt may be a total short, or it's
leads don't get to the meter, maybe dirty switch contacts.  If the shunt
were open, there'd be no plate current, &/or the meter would be pegged.
If it's a total short 0.00 ohms, then the meter would read zero.  The
shunt will be less than an ohm, so your ohmmeter might make you think it's
a short.  More likely to be bad connections to the meter from the shunt.
    I'm just getting a Viking-1 on the air, have checked all meter shunts,
2 were off by abt 20%.
