Johnson made a KW.  (It was really an amp with modulator and had  no audio
pre amplifier.  The "driver" such as a Ranger supplied the RF and the low
level audio to the KW).  This unit was not called a Desk KW as it is called
today.  As an option you could buy a desk that attached to their KW rig if
wished.  The desk was just that, a desk with only one side containing a
leg.  The desk was "L" shaped.
