[Boatanchors] RME 45 Tuning

I have an RME-50 that is awaiting pickup which is
basically the same as the RME-45 except a number of
the tubes have been changed out from octal/loctal to
miniature.

There are actually two knobs on the main tuning dial
although when you look at them it appears to be only
one. The "knob" appears to a large "Dakaware" knob
like Collins used on the "A" Line. But, the rear
portion is separate from the front portion. The
larger rear knob turns the dial at a faster rate than
the smaller front knob. I believe that the front knob
takes 6 turns to make one from the rear knob.

If the knobs are not damaged, they definitely look
like a single knob. At least the RME-50 that is in my
hands right now the knobs appear to be a single unit.
It isn't until you start to turn either the front
portion or the back portion that you realize there are
actually two sections.

My SAMS Photofact only shows one dial tuning knob. I
was under the impression that the RME 45 had TWO
tuning knobs one knob for fast tuning and one for slow
tuning.
