Gentlemen es all other of us who hang out on the boatanchors list....
That sweeping signal from Alaska was (and is ) project HAARP. If you
follow the info about same, including a few well documented
programs on the Science and History channel ( I am including this to
prove that the information is publicly available, not classified, and
one doesn't have to don a tinfoil beanie, nor hide from the MIB, etc to
discuss the uses). I do believe that one will find that the use of
HAARP is far from benign. First off, there has simply been too much
money poured into said project, and the extensive construction of
the huge antenna arrays and transmitters go way beyond the private sector.
In the second place, the end result of the "tests" is to cause heating
of the ionosphere, allegedly to cause shifting in radio propagation
conditions, but given the fact that the beam is indeed, steerable, gives
rise to the theory that there may well be a weaponized use of the site,
especially in the field of WX modification in the High Arctic. The idea
has also been advanced that the site was, as originally concieved, an
ABM testbed, which, when the rest of the ABM sites were dismantled under
treaty, simply "hidden in plain sight.
Yes, propagation research is indeed carried out at the site, and was
documented in a well produced Science Channel program which was aired
some months ago ( I wish I had recorded the darn thing on my DVR,
because it hasn't been repeated, at least as far as I know, but the
system's uses seem to be both myriad, and very useful against the "bad
dudes" who would threaten us. It also manages to consume a great deal
of the North Slope Natural Gas for their generation facilities, which
otherwise would have to be wasted and simply burned off via flame
stacks, so it is providing a useful and profitable customer for the
owners of the oil fields. Yes, HAARP is OTHR, but it is a great many
other things as well, if one can believe the programming, which, of
course, probably leaves much left out at the polite request of the
"censors"........
I was, frankly, quite amazed at the Wullenwerber Antenna (Sterba
Curtain) which no attempt was made to conceal, and to be quite honest,
when one sees an antenna farm like that, it makes an old Mil RM then
Communications Officer, and an old Ham drool with envy ;-)...... As I
said, nothing I have written is classified, nor gleaned from anywhere
but public sources like the Science Channel, but the equipment was
impressive, to say the least. Being a good little former RM, who is
still bound by a rather high security clearance, ( The one known among
the possessors as "Higher than God" --hi--) I don't want to speculate,
nor make statements other than those obtained from public, readily
available sources ( Incarceration would put a real damper on my BA
collecting and restoring activity --hi--) Anyhow, if you get a chance,
and the Science or History channel run that show again, it is worth the
2 hours to record it, because besides the fantastic antenna arrays,
there are a lot of shots of some fine BA's still in use. I had to fight
the XYL off to watch the show for the time it was on, but darn it, it
was the best 2 hrs I spent in a long time. I just wish I had recorded
the show, but I totally forgot, being caught up in the material they
were showing......
That's my .02 and IMHO, your mileage may vary, always drive on roads,
not on people, void where prohibited.....
