Hello all. I have for sale a Johnson 6N2 transmitter with matching 6N2
VFO, Eico Model 730 Modulator, and a surplus BC-348-R. Also included are
homebrew 6m and 2m receive converters, both with an 18MHz IF. All of
this is in a rack mount cabinet, with a heavy power supply for the
transmitter and modulator. The BC-348 is run with a homebrew AC supply
external from its cabinet. The antenna and AC wiring for the rx
converters and to bypass them are all through a knob on the front panel
of the cabinet. PS is mounted in the bottom, the rest is loose on the
inside shelves.

Now for condition. The cosmetic end of this is a 7 of 10. Not bad for
sitting alone a basement for at least 15 years. Everything does power
up, however the 6N2 has no plate voltage and I'm unsure of the
modulator. The receiver plays very well (minor issues, mostly dirty
pots), and I have detected weak signals on both VHF bands. Maybe they're
strong until they hit the converters, I'm not sure.

This would be a great collector's corner piece. Maybe an on again off
again project with the grandkids. Show 'em how to get their fingers
dirty, hi hi.

Feel free to ask for pictures or any other questions you might have. I'm
open to reasonable offers, however I woud prefer not to ship this unit,
so either pickup or maybe meet part way.

Thanks and best 73!
