I have a collection of  Les Logan and Johnson SpeedX bugs, wide and narrow 
versions, but have never seen a knob/paddle combo; always two flat 
paddles.  In looking at the pix provided in the posting, the "bridge" looks 
like SpeedX but there is no definite metal ID plate on the bug, as all of 
them had.

Guess I will have to dig further into historical sources to satisfy this 
new curiosity. (the last thing I need is another project)  :-)
