Dee,
I think you might be looking for a 1629 green eye tube. It is the only
octal base eye tube of which I am aware. All 6E5, 6U5, 6H5, 6T5, 6N5, =
6AB5
and 6G5 eye tubes are six pin bases. The 1629 is a 12 volt filament =
tube
though. =20
I am unaware of any 6E5 with an octal base. My manuals don't mention it
either, but I can always learn I guess.
Please keep us posted with what you find.
Cheers from Minnesota,
Gerry

Fellow Anchorites
Looking for tubes: 12AU7s, 6146(A)s, no 6146Bs. I have a few of these I =
will
trade for ??. And I'm needing a special tube for a friend; an "eye" =
tube,
6E5GT. This is the round eye tube used in some vintage test equipment =
using
octal base. Thats why the GT on end I was told.=20
Looking for Johnson Ranger circuit parts or parts rigs. Also would be
interested in a 6N2 tx w/ good knobs. Knobs that are broken, chipped or
cracked I can't use. I'm not needing any more panels, however. I could =
use
another cabinet if metal is good & not a bunch of extra holes.=20
Any help appreciated.=20
