[Boatanchors] VT 203/9003 Substitute

>From Joe in Okla.    I have a quick question for some of you experienced in
the WWII era.   I have a BC-639 receiver that uses a 9003 tube in the RF
stage   Although,it works well,my question is would a 6AK5 tube work
better...  There is no information on the web that shows it being a
substitute but the pin-out is the same....   I was just going to try one and
see but I thought it wouldn't hurt to ask first..  Joe
