Yes it is but only if you are cooking.

If you are older and knowledgeable you need to take credit 
for it.  Of course, not all us are older and knowledgeable, 
and some are heavier in the older category than in the 
knowledgeable category.  The only thing I know for sure is 
that the older guys know more.  They may not know more about 
what your are interested in, but they do have more 
experience at everything. Ask them.  The answer might not be 
directly applicable to your situation, but that is no reason 
to tell them.
