Rod, trees are the large vegetable things on woody stalks that grow   
in most states, including some parts of Colorado, Nebraska, and       
Kansas.                                                               

You can find images of them by going to
<http://www.google.com/imghp?hl=en&tab=wi&q=>, entering "tree"
(without the quotes) into the search form, and clicking the "Search
Images" button.

They can be used to make good stands for your boatanchors.
