[Boatanchors] Ye Old-Tyme Field Day Activities

Good Afternoon Guys,

Well, I don't about the rest of the gang, but I plan on setting-up a humble "1D" Field Day station this coming weekend...

Weather permitting, I'll be operating 40- and 80-meters CW in the shade of my umbrella gazebo, on the patio table, in my back yard...the rig will be my homebrewed 1923-style Colpitts self-excited transmitter (pair of push-pull 203A's QRO'ed to some 50-watts input), & I'll be listening on my venerable Heathkit SB-301. 

This is gonna be strictly a fun thing at this end...if any of you happen to hear me (I don't think I'll be TOO hard to miss!), by all means give me a shout. I'll be using my VE3XZ callsign.
