I think the correct antenna change over for the AC-1 and S38x would have
been a porcelain base DPDT knife switch. Inch and a half spacing and about
a 4 inch throw. Lets see.......Yup, life expectancy is forever.

Well, I used a DPDT toggle switch (25cents) with my Ameco AC-1 and S-38C in
1960. The switch did last about 3 months.
