Another thing is to watch out for external speakers when they have the 
output transformer mounted in them.  I have an NC101X which has an 
external speaker in a metal cabinet.  All that would have to happen is a 
short to the core in the output transformer or one of the primary leads 
touching the cabinet, and it would be at full B+ from the receiver!  I 
added a ground wire to the speaker cable for safety.
