Thanks to all who helped me find the National reflector. I have an
original HRO-5TA1 with the original manuals, original speaker (cloth
grilled w/NC emblem) "doghouse" power supply, and all 10 coil sets (as
supplied by the U.S. Navy), no rust inside or out and an almost
perfect wrinkle finish. It also had been "tropicalized" with the
greenish yellow finish inside. The radio came off the LSM-203 before
she was scrapped at Little Creek, Va. My Dad was a "plank owner", and
an RM2C aboard her until her demise by an ungrateful nation (The LSM-
203 had three battle stars in the Pacific Theatre) His captain allowed
him to take the radio and accessories with him as he didn't want the
radio turned into scrap. The radio has been a family heirloom since
then. Thanks again guys!
              Fred - W4FJF.
BTW, this radio is the hottest receiver of all the boatanchors I've
ever owned, and I've got a lot of them!
