[Boatanchors] Anyone remember Tubesters?

They were made by Howard Sartori who lived here in
Richardson, Texas, at the time.  He is still in the
area living, I believe, over in Irving, Texas.

Eventually Howard sold the "company" that he had
founded along with the designs.  That company "faded
into the woodwork" within a couple years of being
sold.

plastic solid state assemblies called 'Tubesters".
These were approx the same size of the tube they were
to replace, and had pins on a standard base, so you
could just plug them in and they worked.
