Many of the parts manufacturers as well as tube
manufacturers "private branded" for equipment
manufacturers, major parts distributors, etc.

There are still manufacturers today that will "private
brand" if a certain number of items are purchased.

The 20uF/450V axial was an "Arcolytic", manufactured
by "Arco Electronics", a brand I have frequently run
across. The 40uF/450V axial capacitor looked
IDENTICAL in coloring, construction and labeling,
EXCEPT that it says "MADE ESPECIALLY FOR YORK RADIO &
T.V." (capital letters were used by the manufacturer)
with no other brand labeling. It DOESN'T have the
Arcolytic Eagle logo. Both capacitors have the "Made
in USA" and component value lettering in the same
Fonts. I've never heard of this company and I don't
recall seeing very many (if any) "private branded"
filter capacitors in the past. Was this something that
Arco Electronics did, was it a common practice, or is
it a "unique" item?
