Ed,

Have you considered dictating your e-mail, and other text, via Dragon 
Naturally Speaking, professional edition? Yes I am serious. It is an 
excellent program and may do a lot of pain relief for those who have 
difficulty in typing or even typing with any rapidity.

You can also use Dragon Dictate, which is a control the computer functions 
by speech type of application, not a word processing program as the name 
suggests.
