Hi all:

Picked up what looks like a late 1960's solid state? VHF converter?...6 or 2
meters?

Box is 2.5 in wide x 6 in. long x 1.5 in high...

TOP SIDE;
xtal socket, 4 screw adj for underside trimmers...loop stick threaded
adj..and variable pot shaft...3 solid state buttons?..about 8 passives ( resistors &
caps ).

END : SO239 one side ...BNC other

INSIDE:
SO239 end has coil, trimmer and pot and one solid-state button enclosed with
its own metal copper walls.

All 3 solid state look like very tiny 1890 straw hats in shape......3 inches
in diameter x 1/8 high on top of box-chassis...under only 3 leads....no
markings...two silvered, on gold-like plating.

Inside are 4 each 1/2 dia. coils with paired trimmer variables...all
components on homemade PC board...with "Colmar, P" etched...anyone know him/her?

External lead has 9 v battery connector and one ground lead.

Closest thing I've found is similar looking construction in QST 1961...but
using 6CW4 nuvistors...therefore guess this solid state version approx 1965?

Would like to get it going...thanks for the help.
