Thank you! Vic and others:
Three turns in the RF link made a very large improvement...(5 turns was
less).
Interestingly...the plate current varies markedly with the RF link coupling (
or immersion) into the plate coil...got as much as 165 ma into the 204 whose
'goodness' I was beginning to question...but max out was NOT at max plate
current
( plate voltage held constant at 1000 VDC )...max RF out is 115 ma.
Darn good but challenging application of 'power transfer' as per all those
words in the books...why couldn't they just say it simply as I have tried to
do??
By the way...kinda impractical to implement Pi output as the tank/RF output
is also the thing that generates the oscillating frequency too as this is a
Hartley oskillator.
Now to bring in the Heising modulator section...stand by for possible
additional questions.
