[Boatanchors] BC-453B projects

OK, I got a couple of BC-453B's to use the IF transformers in my HBR
receiver. But I see a lot of other nice parts, especially that VFO and
dial drive. If anyone wants to point me to some 50's/60's QST articles
about making use of these and other parts, or maybe even some (gasp!)
modern web page of similar topic, I'd love to see them.
