Thanks to all who offered suggestions.  I've not been able to pin 
anything down just yet but now that i know what the possible origin is, 
it'll make it easier.  There's no BPL in my subdivision yet as my 
utilities are all underground.  But i suspect that doesn't preclude it 
being "in the area".  Don't know what it sounds like but i like the 
monitor synch signal idea.  The TV (only one in the house) is probably 
15 or so years old and this computer monitor is approaching the 10-12 
year mark.  WOuldn't surprise me if it was something thereof but i'll 
not judge that just yet.  Yes, i know about chargers.  Oh boy, do i. 
What an innocent looking PIA they are.
