[Boatanchors] RE: Millen High Voltage Connectors

In the early 60s, I used the high voltage BNC connectors for high voltage
connections in the region of 1 to 5 KV. I think they were MHV connectors???

I never had a problem with them using even the smaller coax cable on some of
them. I hi-potted them before use just to be sure that the voltage wouldn't
cause an arcing.

It's been a long time since I've seen one but my recollection was that they
looked at first glance like a regular BNC connector but at closer look the
center conductor was recessed more and the Teflon insulation was configured
a bit different.

One of these days I'm going to have to deal with the B+ connection between
the S-Line gear and the 62S-1. So I guess I should be paying closer
attention!

I guess using MHV connectors could be a cause for concern since if I
remember correctly, there was nothing to keep you from mating regular BNC
connectors with them which could prove deadly and I suppose fatal if you
happen to have one hand at ground when the failed.
