Spray "contact cleaners" have no use in anything except 1950's TV
tuners! They coat everything with a dust attractant/holder. There are
"no residue" spray cleaners, but they leave the contacts unprotected and
unlubricated.

Get a bottle of DeoxiT D100L, or whatever they call the bottle with the
hypodermic needle these days. Apply a small drop to a fixed contact and
exercise the switch.

It will NOT remove the black silver sulfide, which is soft and
conductive anyway, but will clean and protect the fine silver line where
the contact is actually made.

Also get some CaiLube/MCL spray at the same time. Spray it inside any
carbon pots and they will operate and feel like new.
