I have a big transmitter power supply for sale. Iron like you wouldn't
believe. Pair of 450 TH/TL modulators (not sure which and i've not
pulled the tubes to check) and at the top of the rack in a metal box is
4-1000 with 813 driver. Metering all over the place. It was, the lower
2/3rds the modulator power supply for the Westinghouse MW-2 power
amplifier. WOuld run 3 KW or pretty close thereof output in continuous
service like RTTY. I've got pictures of the front of it. Can't see
much from the back as it's a pretty full rack. Air cooling, 4 KV Dc
power supply, Tubes and some documentation. It runs off of 220 AC. I'd
imagine it's close to 6-700 lb. and it's mounted on casters so it's easy
to move. I can roll it around by myself. The rack is 7 ft at least.
$1000 would take it but you got to pick it up. It's heavy should i say.
This is very close to commercial quality. The 4-1000 was a build out of
an ARRL handbook years back, 1963 to be exact. The 813 is grounded grid
with tuned input. Whata transmitter.
