Ron,
It sounds like your output to the printer is dot for dot. And that the
printer's available resolution is less than the DPI of the image. You didn't say
what your OS is, what kind of printer you're trying to use, nor what you're
using to view and download the .JPG. But under most answers to the OS question,
printers have drivers installed under the OS and drivers have options. A
common option is Fit To Page or equivalent.
Before you download and install a bunch of new programs, if you are using for
example Internet Explorer to view and then print, try clicking File/Print
instead of the Print icon (which sends output immediately to the printer using
whatever defaults are set). This should bring up the printer driver where you
can look to see whether there is an option to fix your problem. The Xerox, HP
and Okidata printers that we have online here all do.
