Hi Greg, I just finished ( if one does actually ever finish ) converting a
BC-458 ( ARC-5 type) to a VFO for my CE 20A. BAMA is a great source ( as
well as this group) for details. Had the pair on 75 meters last night
running barefoot about 18 watts.

Subject: [Boatanchors] Central Electronics model 458 VFO
Hi:
Picked up an interesting piece recently. It's a Central Electronics VFO
model 458. Factory built from an ARC-5 transmitter.
Can someone tell me what transmitters the vfo is designed for? Also does
anyone have a schematic for this one?
Thanks
Greg
